Brighidine Priesthood
Devotional services rooted in reverence, presence, and myth.
Ways We Can Work Together
As a priestess of the goddess Brighid, there is an array of specifically religious services I am able to provide from the hearth of Her flame, paralleling the goddess’s dominion over Inspiration, Healing, and Smithcraft - Fire in the Head, Heart and Hands. Whether it is sacred reliance, spiritual companionship or devotional work and support you may be looking for, please do not hesitate to peruse the offerings below, or get in touch today for a personalised offering, tailored to your spiritual needs.
Religious Offices
The devotional work I offer is quiet and relational - shaped more like a hearth than a hall. These are not so much services as offerings: invitations to be seen, held, witnessed, and accompanied in the liminal spaces of life and soul. This work asks for spaciousness - time apart from the daily noise, a sacred pause to listen more deeply.
Below are the ways in which I may walk beside you, should you feel called, and facilitate holy reliance to Brighid within the broader context of Celtic polytheism, and the unique Gallo-Irish religious landscape that is mine.

Offerings for spiritual insight, blending poetry and divination.
Oracular Work

These sessions are not predictive but discernment-focused: an opportunity to receive guidance that is grounded and heart-led.(From £50 - Please contact me to discuss specifics.)
Wordsmithing

Flame of Vocation (Blessing of Craft, Art or Calling)
For artists, writers, healers, smiths, midwives - anyone whose work costs fire.
I offer candles lit specifically for the blessing of your work, complete with invocation of Brighid as patron of Craft and Skill. This can take the form of periodic prayers over weeks or months.

Offerings for emotional and spiritual support, community connection, and healing
Not all priesthood is performative. Sometimes it is simply about the act of being with, bearing witness to a question without forcing the answer, standing near a threshold with you and sitting beside you. We may speak a long time, or we may not. The work is in the witnessing: deep listening and gentle reweaving of your soul threads. Held in a spirit of care, not productivity.
Seasonal Rites & Community Rituals
I hold observances for the turning of the Wheel, celebrating the Four Quarter Days as the Fire festivals of Imbolc, Beltaine, Lughnasadh, and Samhain. In sharing this work online (often on Instagram), I offer rhythm and mutual rootedness in seasonal time. These rites weave community through shared observance.Pastoral Counselling
This offering is for those needing focus or grounding - softly held space for breath, stillness, and reorientation. I offer quiet presence, whether in conversation or silence, during times of spiritual transition. I am also happy to witness and listen to you in times of spiritual doubt or burnout, or if you are feeling a bit lost on the way.
(From £90/h - Please contact me to discuss specifics.)
Offices
There are threshold moments in life that ask to be marked, not rushed past. I can offer custom-crafted rituals to honour those thresholds in the name of the Goddess - whether it is name blessings, initiations for spiritual callings, handfastings, or ceremonies for grief, commitment, or new beginnings. These rites are crafted uniquely for you, blending tradition, intuition, and the voice of the Goddess in the land.(Price dependent on request - please contact me to discuss specifics)
The Sacred Flame - Religious Accompaniment
If you are walking a specifically Brighidine spiritual path, need help confirming the Goddess’ presence in your life, or seek gentle companionship along the way, we may meet not as teacher and student, but as fellow wayfarers, keeping each other’s flame alight. For those seekers who feel the stirrings of their own tending to a devotional life towards Gallo-Irish gods, I also offer unformal guidance. This may comprise advice on how to get started with religious devotion, how to create and tend to sacred spaces (such as house shrines or altars, devotional hearths or gardens and any other spiritual set ups), learning the bones of ritual worship (offerings, prayers, daily rites, seasonal observance), and/or guidance walking with deity, co-creating a spiritually enriched life that is wholly your own through localised practice, storytelling and myth-weaving, to help root your practice in a landscape of living animism.
(From £90/h - Please contact me to discuss specifics.)
Brighidine Witness - Rites of Oath & Commitment
In ancient traditions, sacred fire-priestesses were present at moment were sacred oaths and pledges were taken, embodying divine witness to truth, contract, and integrity. This offering brings that legacy into modern devotional practice, so that ritual binding creates meaning again.
This is a ritual service in which I act as sanctified spiritual witness, invoking Brighid’s flame to uphold the integrity of your spoken word, vow, or sacred intention. This can be offered for personal vows (e.g., vows of service, transformation, devotion, dedication), relationship promises consecrated in spirit, intentions of justice, healing, or world-work, or commitments to community-guided change
During this service, a flame is lit, prayers are spoken, and Brighid is invoked specifically as guardian of truth, fire, and covenant.

Brighid’s Flame: Dedication Ceremony
Drawing directly from the tradition of perpetual flamekeeping (as practiced historically at Kildare and revived in Flamekeeping Cills today), this offering is a personal or collective dedication ceremony.
In this rite, a candle is lit from Her sacred flame and dedicated with prayer for your intention, named aloud in the presence of Brighid and sent with blessing and devotional care as you commit your life to Her care.

Brighid of the White Palms -Purification of the Warrior
Across Indo-European ritual systems, the purification of the warrior marks a necessary return from sanctioned violence into social and sacral order. This rite is not merely hygienic or moral, but cosmological: a re-alignment of the person with land, kin, and sovereign law.
In Celtic contexts, this reintegration appears to have been enacted through a grammar of elemental rites involving water, fire, milk produces and honey, in a sequence that resonates strongly with the domains of Brighid. I offer this ritual as a theologically grounded reconstruction, held as a devotional and magico-religious service under Her guardianship.
This rite is intended for those who have crossed into states of violence, extreme confrontation, moral injury, or prolonged liminality - whether through military service, activist struggle, care work in traumatic contexts, or other forms of sanctioned harm; and who now seek ritual reintegration rather than denial or absolution.
Through prayer and ritual washing, the excess of battle-fury is released, and the body is symbolically returned to communal time. Water here functions as threshold and membrane, allowing passage out of liminality. Fire follows water as its intensification - alluding to the fire of the forge that reshapes and transforms. Brighid’s fire is not destructive, but lustral: it cauterises, reveals, and re-orders. In this phase, what has been endured is acknowledged and tempered rather than erased.
Milk and honey produces complete the rite. Explicitly maternal or tied to land-based abundance, these substances signify re-adoption by the living world. To partake of milk is to receive the land’s blessing, whilst honey restores sovereignty, sealing this return through cultivated continuity and care. This nourishment cools what fire has reforged and stabilises what water has washed clean.
Please note, this ritual encodes a theology in which violence is neither glorified nor denied, but ritually metabolised. Brighid presides not as a passive healer, but as sovereign flame who understands that healing and harm are entangled realities, and that restoration requires truth, containment, and blessing.
This service is spiritual and ritual in nature and does not replace medical, psychological, or institutional support. It is offered as a rite of reintegration, repair, and return to hearth and kin.

Under Her Mantle - Special Vigils
Vigil for Justice: Brighid Ambue
Brighid Ambue or “Brighid of the Cowless” is Brighid in Her aspect of righteous outcry: the Goddess whose voice speaks for the dispossessed, the wronged and the outcast, and rises against injustice, violence, and the breaking of right order. This vigil is the scream that cannot be silenced, the fire that speaks when speech is denied.
I offer vigil-keeping for social justice causes in honour of Brighid Ambue. This service is a devotional and magico-religious act of witness, held through flame, prayer, and ritual attention for those harmed by oppression or systemic violence.
During the agreed period, I keep ritual vigil on your behalf, maintaining flame and calling upon Brighid Ambue through invocation, lamentation, and poetic prayer. This work holds space for anger and grief, petitioning for moral clarity, and affirming where is suffering seen, named, and carried into sacred witness rather than forgotten.
This vigil may be offered for specific individuals, communities, or situations, or for broader causes where harm persists and justice is delayed. It is not a substitute for material action, advocacy, or legal work, but a spiritual offering that sustains resistance, remembrance, and moral fire.
This offering honours the necessity of voice, even when no resolution is yet visible, and keeps the flame of justice alive in the name of the Goddess.

Birth Vigil - Brighid the Midwife
Birth is a threshold, an intense and sometimes perilous moment when the worlds draw close. In honour of Brighid in Her aspect as Midwife, I offer vigil-keeping for those in labour.
This service consists of prayerful presence and devotional work on your behalf during childbirth. While you labour, I keep the flame for you: maintaining ritual observance, calling upon Brighid’s protection, strength, and gentle guidance for the birthing parent, the child, and all who attend them. This may include spoken prayer, poetic invocation, and devotional acts.
This offering is spiritual and devotional in nature and does not replace medical or midwifery care. It is a weaving of presence, protection, and sacred attention across distance, anchoring the birth in blessing and flame.

Vigil for the Dying, Death Vigil - Brighid of Keening
Brighid is known as She-Who-Keens, the one who invented caoineadh at the death of Her son - poet and lamenter, guardian of safe passage at the end of life. Her voice is the cry that carries grief so it does not remain trapped in the body, the land, or the hearts of the living.
I offer vigil-keeping at the time of death and dying in honour of Brighid in this aspect. This service is a devotional and magico-religious offering, held at a distance, for those approaching the end of life, for the newly dead, or for their loved ones - especially when presence is limited or impossible.
During the agreed period, I keep flame on your behalf and hold ritual observance through prayer, lamentation, and poetic invocation. This work honours sorrow as sacred, supports the gentle release of the dying or the dead, and offers containment and blessing for those who remain.
This vigil may include spoken or chanted lament, devotional prayer, and a ritual closing once the passage has been made.
This offering is spiritual in nature and does not replace medical or psychological, or care. It is a holding of presence, voice, and flame at the threshold.

How to Build a Fire
(A Poetic Guide)
First, seek the stillness where flame may be born:
a cleared and sacred hollow in the hush of wood or stone.
Gather your tinder: the whisper-thin things -
dry moss, curled bark, the breath of old leaves.
They are the listening ones, the first to catch spark.
Then comes kindling: small, slender sticks,
twig-bones and matchstick limbs, laid like a nest.
(For a child of fire needs incubation)
Those do not burn long, but they dry and rise with the flame, teaching it how to climb.
You may at this stage need to offer your breath to the flame.
Embers are fickle spirits:
coax and goad them with part of your name,
a thread of your soul woven into smoke.
Breathe until the world sways slightly,
until the fire knows you mean it.
The logs come last: seasoned, solid, ready.
Do not rush their placement;
fire is a story and must be told in layers, its plot complex, refined.
Leave space for air between each line of wood -
for fire, too, must breathe, inhale and exhale.
Strike your match, or summon your steel.
Offer the flame gently,
not forced, but invited.
Watch it take: a flicker, a waver, a leap.
Shelter it like a newborn thing
until it stands on its own.
Now, tend it.
Keep it.
Fuel it.
Listen to its song: it is alive - because you asked it kindly
and gave it room to become.

Code of Conduct
Beliefs & Paradigms
I serve as a priestess within an animist and polytheist framework, rooted in the belief that all things are ensouled and interconnected. My priestly work honours the divine in multiplicity, nature, and spirit, and proceeds in reverence of the unseen according to Gallo-Irish tradition. If this paradigm does not align with your own worldview, I respectfully encourage you to seek a practitioner whose spiritual cosmology resonates more closely with your own, to ensure harmony and clarity in the work we undertake together.
Professional Ethos
I do not seek to convert or impose.
I do not act as an intermediary without consent; your agency remains central at all times.
I do not accept requests to perform extensively involved rites for or about individuals who have not themselves expressed a desire for my involvement - with rare, discussed exceptions (e.g. rites for the deceased, collective healing work, etc.).
Should you feel unease, distress, or disagreement before, during, or after a ritual or consultation, please voice it. I welcome the chance to clarify, repair, or adjust. The unseen realms are subtle, and interpretation is imperfect, but your well-being and dignity matter to me deeply.
Privacy & Confidentiality
All consultations and rituals are treated as sacred and confidential. I will never share details of our interactions without your explicit consent, except where required by law or immediate safety concerns.
In the event of a falling out and/or at your request, I will delete all records associated with our work together.
Referrals
Where your needs exceed my expertise or spiritual authority, I will endeavour to refer you to others I trust - not based on personal allegiance, but on demonstrated excellence, ethics, and depth of practice.
I also pledge to maintain awareness of secular aid structures (e.g. mental health services, hotlines) and will redirect you accordingly if needed.
About My Services
My priestly offerings are religious in nature, and limited to pastoral and sacerdotal spiritual care. Examples of this might be assistance with questions about your spiritual practice or navigating relationships with gods and ungods.
These are not medical, psychological, or legal services. I do not provide crisis care, social work service, grief counselling, or mental health support. Should such needs arise, I will do my utmost to refer you to the appropriate resources.
I welcome you as you are - whole, evolving, and sovereign. My role is not to control or dictate, but to serve, support, and walk beside you. I do not foster dependency, cultic dynamics, or spiritual exceptionalism.
My offerings may include instruction or collaborative planning, but ultimately, your path is yours to walk. I will not carry your burden for you - but I will witness it, and, where appropriate, help you carry it more wisely.
These services are being provided on a volunteer basis and my availability cannot always be guaranteed. I also ask you to understand that sessions will be time limited based on my schedule.
